Former Raptors star Chris Bosh was happy to see Kawhi Leonard receiving his championship ring before Wednesday night's game against the Clippers.
Leonard led the Raptors to their first championship in franchise history last season, defeating the Golden State Warriors in six games. However, the former San Diego State standout decided to join the Clippers this summer, leaving Toronto after just one glorious season.
Wednesday night's matchup marked Kawhi's first trip to Scotiabank Arena as a member of the Clippers. Prior to the game, the Raptors honored him with a special ring ceremony.
Bosh, who left many great memories with the Raptors, reminisced of old days in his message to Leonard:
“Amazing seeing Kawhi get his ring last night in Toronto 🏆‼️So much well deserved fan appreciation. Loved being a part of the @raptors franchise early on in my career 🔥 #TBT”

Leonard thought he might hear a few boos from the crowd, but that wasn't the case at all. In fact, it was just the opposite. He went on to score 23 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the field (2-of-4 from beyond the arc), six assists, five rebounds and two steals in 32 minutes of action.
The Raptors fought hard but ultimately fell, 112-92. Though they were defeated, Toronto is still holding a 16-8 overall record. They'll look to get back into the win column on Saturday, when they'll serve as hosts to the Brooklyn Nets.
