Toronto Raptors superstar Kawhi Leonard is one of the most talked about players in the NBA. It's not always about his elite skill that he's being brought up though.
Leonard is also famous for being one of the most “robotic” players in the NBA. This was true even when he was with the San Antonio Spurs.
He rarely smiles or shows emotions, and just went viral for refusing a handshake/fist bump from a teammate before a game.
This was kicked into overdrive when the stories of his trash talk came out. Saying one word like “Bucket” as trash talk or shouting “board man gets paid”. Those aren't things most people would say – ever.
After that, it seemed like no story would be able to top it. It was proof that Leonard simply isn't wired the same. However, a story made the rounds on Twitter on Saturday that had people buzzing according to Sean Facey of 12Up.com.
I'm not going to lie to you, for about 1.5 seconds after I first saw this on Saturday, I thought it was real. Then reality set in and I realized two things.
First, no one would ever do this in the history of humanity. Although “Apple Time, Apple Time” kind of sounds like something Leonard would say, the rest is ridiculous. I mean, where would he have been hiding the apples?
Seriously though, who eats apples with a knife and a fork?
Okay, last time. Seriously, it's something that you could get wrapped up in and believe for a second. After reading it twice you should realize it's fabricated though. That's too crazy of a story.
Two, Sami Zayn liked it and that's why it popped up on my Timeline. Now I need to know if the underdog of the underground was tricked for a few seconds like the rest of the internet – or if he simply thought it was funny.
