The Toronto Raptors managed to dominate the Philadelphia 76ers in Game. Unfortunately, power forward Serge Ibaka was unable to make it out unscathed.

Ibaka took an elbow to the head early on that resulted in him getting three stitches. According to Josh Lewenberg of TSN Sports, point guard Fred VanVleet says that the big man is going to be rather disappointed having to be patched up:

“He's a pretty boy so I'm sure he'll be upset about that for a while.”

Shooting guard Danny Green joked that the hit may have knocked some sense into Ibaka.

“I think that elbow to the head woke him up, so it was good.”

It is safe to say that Toronto dodged a bullet this time around. The injury had initially appeared to be much worse than it actually was after Ibaka was seen trying to stop the bleeding from his head. Fortunately, he was able to make his return soon thereafter to help the Raptors blow the Sixers out.

Ibaka has enjoyed some modest production thus far in the series. Regardless, it is clear that Toronto has relied on a six-man rotation and that does not appear to be changing any time soon. This is why Ibaka's injury had raised some serious concerns about their depth since he is the only bench player they have relied upon up to this point.

Toronto has successfully swung the momentum of the series in their favor with their dominant win. they will be looking to close things out in Philadelphia on Thursday.
