Kawhi Leonard is done listening to Toronto Raptors head coach Nick Nurse's stories about his stint in the D-League.

Nurse spent six seasons in the D-League from 2007-2013, where he led the Iowa Energy and Rio Grande Valley Vipers to D-League championships. He officially made it to the NBA in 2013 when he became an assistant coach for the Raptors under then head coach Dwayne Casey.

Then, when the Raptors fired Casey last season, Nurse became the team's head coach. It is clear that based on Leonard's reaction that one of Nurse's strategies to help motivate him and his teammates was to tell them stories about the D-League.

And it worked because the Raptors just won their first-ever NBA championship.

Now, Leonard doesn't want to hear Nurse's D-League stories anymore. But it's not an indication that he's done with the Raptors in general.

Kawhi is set to become a free agent this summer, and there are speculations about him planning to join the Los Angeles Clippers. However, there are other reports that states Leonard will be willing to sign a short-term deal to stay with the Raptors.

Maybe one of the things that the Raptors can do for Leonard is to convince coach Nurse to stop telling his D-League stories. That might work, right?

Kidding aside, Leonard and Nurse have built a great relationship this past season, and that could be one of the main reasons why he might stay in Toronto.

Still, if Kawhi decides to leave, at least he was able to give the Raptors and its fans a great parting gift.
