Kawhi Leonard’s hilarious response to reporter’s absurd question about Raptors

Kawhi Leonard, Clippers laugh

The L.A. Clippers defeated the Toronto Raptors on Monday night, 98-88. Kawhi Leonard struggled all night, finishing with just 12 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists on 2-of-11 shooting from the field and nine turnovers.

Leonard’s matchup with his former team took all the limelight, but it was his teammates who really stepped up both offensively and defensively in the win.

Lou Williams poured in 21 points, four rebounds, and four assists. Montrezl Harrell (14 points, 11 rebounds) and JaMychal Green (10 points, 12 rebounds) both double-doubled off the Clipper bench.

After the game, Leonard was asked about his reunion with his former team and if he thought about last season at any point throughout the game. Here’s the exchange:

Reporter – “Thought about last season throughout the night?”

Leonard – “Uhh no. What would I think about last season?”

Reporter- “Just you know, what went on–”

Leonard – “It’s over now, we won. Like I said before, I had a great time there, it’s the next chapter now. I can’t live in the past or just be so excited that I still won, I’m with a different team, a different unit, and they want to have that same feeling and I do as well. I’m a clipper right now. We’re trying to win.”

Clearly, the two-time Finals MVP is locked in on the current Clippers season. Leonard’s mentality and approach to the game is what’s made him the best two-way player in the NBA today.

The Clippers will be getting Paul George back from injury very soon, and they’ll look to get into a good groove with a five game homestand coming up.
