The NBA Trade Deadline is less than 24 hours away and has rumors swirling. A name that has popped up a few times in rumors already was brought up again, but with a new destination attached to it.

On Wednesday afternoon during ESPN’s The Jump, Brian Windhorst noted that there is a chance Kyle Lowry could become a member of the Utah Jazz prior to the 3:00 p.m. deadline on Thursday.

Lowry has recently been associated with the Grizzlies as the Toronto Raptors have pursued a deal that would send their point guard and Jonas Valanciunas to Memphis in exchange for Mike Conley and Marc Gasol. Kyle Lowry has been a solid part of the Raptors' success this season, but they are looking to add any edge they can to the roster down the stretch of the season.

With competition in the East bulking up as well, such as Philadelphia making a deal for Tobias Harris and the Milwaukee Bucks eyeing players like Nikola Mirotic, the pressure is on Toronto to make a move that will improve their squad.

So far this season, Lowry has averaged 14.2 points, 9.2 assists, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game. He has been playing great, but his shooting has slipped a little, as he is putting up 41 percent overall and 32.6 percent from deep. His 3-point percentage is the lowest it’s been since his 2009-10 season with the Houston Rockets.

Nevertheless, the Utah Jazz would assuredly be delighted to add him to their starting lineup, as he would be a quick upgrade from Ricky Rubio. The possibility of a three-team deal sending Lowry to Utah, Conley to Toronto, and Rubio plus picks back to Memphis could be a win for all three teams involved.
