It's no question that Kyle Lowry is one of the toughest players out there.

In Thursday night's Game 3 between the Toronto Raptors and the Boston Celtics, Kyle Lowry was again in the receiving end of a rather painful play. Lowry helped on Brad Wanamaker's drive to the rim towards the end of the third quarter when Wanamaker had his knee out and hit Lowry where it hurts. The worst part is, it was Lowry who was called for the foul and Wanamaker made the and-1 play. Talk about a double-whammy.

When asked about it after the game though, the Raptors guard had the perfect response.

“I mean, obviously, I got balls of steel.” Lowry said (per Hoop Central).

Lowry spent a good minute on the floor, grimacing in pain. The six-time All-Star vehemently asked the officials to review the play but unfortunately, the call stood and Wanamaker was awarded a bonus free throw.

“Just trying to win the game. That's where you find energy at. That's what that was.” he added. “Just trying to win the game, no gas at all. My balls of steel and just win.”

Lowry immediately shrugged the pain and came out swinging as he finished with a game-high 31 points and added six rebounds and eight assists. His last was an incredible over-the-top inbound pass over Tacko Fall to find an open OG Anunoby in the corner for the game-winning triple.

It was a virtual do-or-die match for the Raptors who were already down 0-2 prior to Game 3. A loss on Thursday night would've sunk them to an almost-improbable 0-3 deficit and narrow down their chances to defend their title. Fortunately, Lowry's balls of steel came in handy tonight as he helped propel the Raptors to a 104-103 win.
