The Toronto Raptors are currently dealing with injuries to multiple key players. According to Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press, Kyle Lowry will be sidelined for two weeks due to a fractured thumb and Serge Ibaka will be out indefinitely with a sprained ankle.

The official diagnosis for Lowry was a ‘fracture of the distal phalanx of his left thumb' and the injury occurred during the team's matchup with the New Orleans Pelicans. The current plan is for him to be re-evaluated in two weeks.

“Kyle Lowry sustained a fracture of the distal phalanx of his left thumb in the first quarter of Friday's game at New Orleans. Lowry will be out, and his injury will be reevaluated in two weeks.”

As for Ibaka, his injury occurred during the first half of the Raptors' recent matchup with the Pelicans and was diagnosed with a ‘sprained right ankle.' He is going to undergo testing in Los Angeles and will be sidelined indefinitely.

“With 44.9 seconds left to play in the first half at New Orleans, Serge Ibaka sustained a sprained right ankle. Ibaka is to undergo additional imaging in Los Angeles. He will be out indefinitely.”

Not having key players will assuredly have a negative impact on the Raptors. However, the tremendous individual production from Pascal Siakam should at least keep them afloat in the meantime. He managed to record 44 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists to lead them to a convincing victory over the Pelicans, the same game that both Lowry and Ibaka suffered their injuries.
