If the Toronto Raptors decide to blow up the roster at the February 2020 trade deadline, an NBA executive believes Kyle Lowry, Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaka will “have some value to contenders.”

The Raptors lost superstar small forward Kawhi Leonard to the Los Angeles Clippers in free agency this summer. It's believed president Masai Ujiri wants to see what Toronto can do at the start of next season before making a decision on the roster.

“They’re going to know by the New Year if they are title contenders or if they should tear it all down. (Kyle) Lowry, (Marc) Gasol and (Serge) Ibaka will all have some value to contenders at the trade deadline,” the exec told Keith Smith of Real GM. “Might be hard to match salary, but Masai (Ujiri) will figure it out. And if there is one guy you want in charge of a rebuild, it’s him.”

Kyle Lowry, Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaka all have one year left on their contracts, so they will be appealing at the trade deadline if the Raptors are ready to embark on a rebuild.

Lowry will probably garner the most interest on the trade market if he's made available. The five-time All-Star is a sound two-way guard who appeared to get over his playoff struggles in the 2019 postseason.

Gasol and Ibaka are two big men who can score and rebound at a high-level, and playoff teams are always looking for guys like that near the trade deadline.

All eyes are going to be on the Raptors near the trade deadline to see what direction Ujiri decides to take the franchise.
