Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam is not happy being tagged as the next Draymond Green. Siakam is having the best season of his career and is a strong candidate for the 2019 Most Improved Player award. And because of his impressive showing this season, he is now being compared to some established stars in the league.

Most fans are comparing Siakam to Green, who is known as one of the most versatile forwards in the league. Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr recently said he is seeing a young Draymond Green in Siakam. However, the 25-year-old said that he would rather carve a name for himself.

“I don't want to be the next Draymond Green,” Siakam said when asked about the comparisons to Green via Josh Lewenberg of TSN Sports. “I want to be the new Pascal.”

But while he does not want to be compared to Green, Siakam has a high respect for the Warriors forward. In fact, he admitted to Canada.com that he will have his hands full against Green in the 2019 NBA Finals. The third-year forward is expected to be matched up against Green on both ends of the floor.

The New Mexico State native raved about Green's ability to guard any position. Siakam added that Green is “definitely special” because of his unique abilities and the things he is doing to become a major factor in the success of Golden State over the past four years.
