Pascal Siakam has been absolutely phenomenal for the Toronto Raptors this season. After a disappointing bubble performance and 2020 season, Siakam has bounced back in a huge way for the team. His newly-refined skillset has allowed the team to barge into the playoffs amid what was supposed to be a rebuilding season for the team.

A day removed from his triple-double performance against the Sixers, Siakam showed off one more team for the Raptors. His near-triple-double against the Rockets put him in elite territory, as he became the first player in franchise history to have a streak of 25 points, 10 assists, and 5 assists in three games. With the Raptors secured a spot in the top six, Nick Nurse has decided to rest Fred VanVleet for the rest of the regular season. With their All-Star out, Siakam stepped up to the plate and solidified the team's hold on the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference. A top-4 finish is unlikely, but holding on to the fifth seed could be important for the team.

The Raptors are one of the unlikely contenders to emerge in the second half of the season. Behind a resurgent Siakam and a stellar core with VanVleet, Gary Trent Jr, and Scottie Barnes, the team has become a dark horse contender in the playoffs. They boast a 2-2 record against some of the top teams in the East, as well as a stunning 3-0 record against the defending champions Bucks.

A run to the Eastern Conference Finals will be one hell of close-out to this incredible season from Toronto. However, just making it to playoffs is impressive on it's own, especially considering the roster makeup. This team should've been a rebuilding team… and yet here they are, posing a legitimate threat to playoff teams in their conference.

Siakam, for his part, is averaging close to his stats during his lone All-Star season. He has had a noticeable uptick in his assists, which is a welcome development for the Raptors. Siakam's weakness used to be double-teams, but now he's become adept at passing out of these situations. He is making a legitimate case to be part of one of the All-NBA teams this season.
