The Toronto Raptors host the Detroit Pistons Wednesday and will be without the services of big man Serge Ibaka.

Ibaka is dealing with knee soreness, so the Raptors are going to rest him.

The Raptors enter Wednesday with the best record in the Eastern Conference at 12-2. They have only lost once at home.

In 14 games this season, Serge Ibaka is averaging 17.4 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists while shooting 57.6 percent from the field, 30.6 percent from beyond the arc and 71.8 percent from the free-throw line. The 29-year-old is also blocking 1.2 shots per game.

Ibaka has been somewhat of a disappointment since the Raptors traded for him back in 2017, but he's off to a good start this season. The 10-year veteran is owed $44.9 million combined this year and next. There was talk over the summer that the Raptors were looking to move Ibaka, but a deal never transpired.

In 693 career games with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Orlando Magic and Raptors, Serge Ibaka has career averages of 12.2 points, 7.2 rebounds and 0.7 assists. He shoots 51.4 percent from the floor, 36.5 percent from the 3-point line and 75.9 percent from the charity stripe.
