The NBA offseason is already in full swing as trade rumors have swirled about regarding some of the biggest names in the league. One name to watch is Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons, who has grown out of favor in Philly, even more after a disappointing playoff performance. It was reported that the Sixers have started trade talks on Simmons and many suitors have emerged, with the latest being the Toronto Raptors, according to Marc Stein.

“Just scan through the teams that have been linked to a Simmons trade already: Cleveland, Indiana, Minnesota and Sacramento are known suitors. Toronto is also said to have expressed interest. More will emerge.”

Wow. Can you imagine a potential Simmons-to-Toronto deal? With a core that includes Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet, adding Simmons would be a huge boost for a Raptors squad that disappointed and missed the playoffs.

On top of that, they also have the fourth pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, although that could be part of a potential Simmons trade package. With a major decision regarding Kyle Lowry, it might make sense for the Raptors to go after Simmons and fill a roster hole for the next few years.

Either way, it appears that Ben Simmons' time with the Sixers is approaching an end, and stay tuned to see where the talented youngster — and Defensive Player of the Year finalist– ends up.
