The Toronto Raptors certainly enjoyed “a blast from the past” on Monday night.

Aside from donning  their iconic ‘90s purple and white jerseys and bringing back the retro-inspired home court, the Canada-based organization celebrated their “Rewind Night” by honoring one of their former players during their home against the Orlando Magic.

The defending champions turned up the nostalgia prior to tip-off as they acknowledged Terrence Ross’ contributions for the franchise with a touching tribute video. The clip showed his best highlights as member of the team, which was treated with a warm ovation by the crowd.

The athletic swingman out of Washington University spent five seasons with Toronto before being traded to Orlando in 2017 in exchange for Serge Ibaka and a 2017 first-round draft pick.

Ross was picked seventh overall by the Raptors in the 2012 Draft and was paired alongside another high-flying forward in DeMar Derozan. He quickly became an integral part of Toronto’s bench and often played the role of the sixth man.

He played the best game of his career in a Raptors jersey when he tallied a whopping 51 points in Toronto's 126-118 home loss to the Los Angeles Clippers in 2014 — which tied the Raptors’ franchise record for points in a game recorded by Vince Carter in 2000.

Known best for his gravity-defying acts of athleticism that earned him a slam dunk title in 2013, Ross has established himself as reliable 3-and-D guy for the Magic. He has career averages of 10.8 points on .423 percent shooting from the field and.374 clip from distance.
