Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens have been one of the best teams in the NFL all season long. After coming into the season facing a ton of criticism, Jackson seems to be a near lock to win the MVP. Now, the Ravens are already preparing for how they want to handle their roster entering the playoffs.

According to a report from Mike Garafolo shared by Ian Rapoport, the Ravens are hoping to be able to rest Jackson if they have their playoff seeding locked up. If they don't, however, it is likely that Jackson will have to suit up for the final game of the season.

Jackson has proved a ton of critics wrong this season. There were still some who thought he wasn't star quarterback material and that he was more of a running back. Baltimore has seen Jackson become a lethal passer in addition to his ability to pick up huge chunks of yards on the ground.

In the 13 games that he played with the Ravens this season, Jackson has completed 66.3 percent of his pass attempts for 2,677 yards, 28 touchdowns, and just six interceptions. He also has racked up 1,017 yards on the ground to go along with seven touchdowns.

Baltimore is currently 11-2 on the season and there is a good chance that they could lock up their playoff seeding by Week 17. They will face off against the New York Jets this week and the Cleveland Browns in Week 16.

All of that being said, giving Jackson two weeks of rest before their divisional playoff matchup would be a huge positive for the Ravens.
