Ahead of the start of training camp, the Baltimore Ravens have placed several notable players on the PUP list.

The current group on the “physically unable to perform” list consist of six players. Running back’s JK Dobbins and Gus Edwards, linebacker Tyus Bowser, left tackle Ronnie Stanley, safety Ar’Darius Washington, and cornerback Marcus Peters.

Dobbins, Peters, and Stanley will all be playing major roles on this Ravens team next season.

JK Dobbins landing on the list comes just days after he claimed he might not need to spend time on the PUP.

In a tweet directed at Ian Rapoport, Dobbins stated “come to me for your source @RapSheet because I might not even go on the PUP because that's how good my rehab is going and I’m damn sure going to be ready for week 1.”

Dobbins is still coming back from a torn ACL that he suffered in the final preseason game for the Ravens last season.

Both Marcus Peters and Gus Edwards also found themselves on the PUP list due to recovering from torn ACLs

Ronnie Stanley is still recovering from ankle surgery that limited him to just one game last season.

If the Ravens are looking to bounce back from a 2021 season that saw them finish last in the AFC North with an 8-9 record, they will have to be fully healthy. Their entire season was thrown off the rails due to injuries. Losing several key pieces before the season even started was critical to how they performed. They hope for a different outcome this season.
