The Baltimore Ravens are poised to welcome a big boost as quarterback Lamar Jackson is already expected to suit up and start for their upcoming Week 13 tiff against the Dallas Cowboys, via ESPN's Adam Schefter. The 2019 NFL MVP recently contracted a positive COVID-19 case and will have already completed the required 10-day quarantine by Tuesday.

Jackson last appeared in their Week 11 outing against the Tennessee Titans where he was limited to only 186 passing yards on a 17/29 passing clip along with a touchdown. He also recorded a pick and a sack during the game which ultimately led to a 30-24 loss at the hands of their streaking counterparts.

He sat out their showdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 12 after a COVID-19 outbreak marred the lineups of both teams heading into the game. Veteran backup Robert Griffin III first started under center but then struggled in the encounter which led to his benching in the fourth quarter. Sophomore playmaker Trace McSorley was then slotted in by head coach John Harbaugh to take over the game.

The former Penn State managed to have a respectable performance as he came out with 77 passing yards on two-of-six passes completed along with a touchdown. However, his efforts were still not enough to mount a comeback for the Ravens and ultimately fell to a 19-14 loss.

After Griffin was recently instated on the team's injured reserve list, McSorley was expected to be the team's starting quarterback for their upcoming game against the Cowboys after Jackson's status was still up in the air a few days ago.

With their best quarterback now at the helm, the Ravens will aim to halt their three-game losing skid and avoid the upset ax as they hope to get back in the thick of the playoff race.
