Although the Baltimore Ravens have gone winless over their last three games, they can't say they aren't impressed with how backup quarterback Tyler Huntley has played in lieu of Lamar Jackson over their past two contests.

Tight end Mark Andrews, a favorite target by Jackson has even come forward to speak highly of the admirable performance of Huntley under center while the former MVP is recovering from an ankle injury, per Clifton Brown of NFL.com.

“He's a special player,” Andrews said. “I think everybody on the field feels a connection with him. He puts the ball where it needs to be, his eyes are great. Being behind a guy like Lamar, you learn a ton, and he's been able to absorb all these different things. I think he's going to be a superstar in this league for a long, long time.”

Andrews knows what he's talking about. After all, he's coming off a monster game, albeit in a 31-30 loss to the Green Bay Packers last Sunday at home, with Huntley relentlessly finding him downfield. The tight end finished that game with 136 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 10 receptions and 13 targets. Huntley, on the other hand, went toe to toe with Aaron Rodgers and collected a total of 215 passing yards on 28/40 completions, which included those two touchdowns by Andrews.

Huntley is merely capitalizing on an opportunity brought by Jackson's absence, and he will have to slide back to his familiar QB2 role once Jackson returns to the fold. Nevertheless, Huntley must have put the rest of the league on notice with his recent performances.
