The stacked Baltimore Ravens squad got even better with the acquisition of two highly-touted college prospects. LSU linebacker Patrick Queen was selected by the team with the 28th overall pick while Ohio State running back J.K. Dobbins was picked with the 55th pick in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. The two rookies are coming to an organization that is hungry to get its third Super Bowl championship.

The rookies shared their opinions on heading into the Ravens camp to Aaron Kasinitz of PennLive.com:

“My freshman year, going in there, it was hard for me to learn, and that’s why I had to go to Devin, and sit down with him and try to learn the plays; sit down with Aranda and learn the plays,” Queen said. “Eventually, it just got better and better.”

“It’s complex; that’s what makes it so good,” Dobbins said of the Ravens’ playbook. “Ohio State’s [run game] was pretty complex, too. It’s a smooth transition for me.”

Entering a loaded team in the Ravens won't be an issue for the two rookies since they both came from the nation's top football powerhouses.

LSU's Patrick Queen showed his dominant defensive form all throughout his collegiate career. He entered his junior year on the watchlist for the Butkus Award which was annually given to the nation's best linebackers. He was also named the Defensive MVP of the 2020 National Championship Game after making eight tackles with 2.5 tackles for a loss and a combined sack against Clemson.

Ohio State's J.K. Dobbins was no different either as he finished his 2019 campaign as the only Buckeye in history to rush for more than 2,000 yards in a season. He left Ohio State with a total of 4,459 yards rushing, which makes him second all time. He also won four Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week Awards, three Big Ten titles and two bowl games in the collegiate ranks.

The two rookies will aim to make an immediate impact on a Ravens' side that is raring for a shot at the Super Bowl. The Lamar Jackson-led team will open the 2020 season as they host the Cleveland Browns on September 13.
