Trevor Story was a man possessed on Thursday night. The Boston Red Sox found themselves in a huge hole early in the game, going down 4-0 against the Mariners. They badly needed a hero to save them from the rut they dug themselves in. Luckily, they got their wish and then some.

Trevor Story would proceed to have one of the best games of his Red Sox stint, going 4-for-4 with THREE home runs. This incredible performance helped the team escape with a clutch win against the Mariners. When asked about how he felt doing that in Fenway Park, Story simply said: (via MassLive)

“Special. Great atmosphere. Unbelievable place to play every night,” he said about Fenway. “So to be able to do it here is something I’ll remember forever.”

Fenway Park is one of the most storied stadiums in all of MLB. The home of the Red Sox has been a witness to many incredible feats by legends. Story added to Fenway's legendary book by cashing in three big home runs during the regular season game to bring hope to this fanbase.

Story and the Red Sox are hoping that they'll be able to deliver the same level of performance in the playoffs. After making it all the way to the ALCS last season, Boston seems to have fallen off of a cliff this season. They sit near the bottom of the AL East, with all of the three teams above them being several games above .500.

Will they be able to bounce back?
