Trent Williams has stopped his long standoff with the Washington Redskins. He's gone to the team facilities and talked with team officials to iron out whatever details they need to sort.

However, Ian Rapoport revealed that he's not ready to rejoin team practices just yet.

Looking at the way Rapoport presented the facts, there's still no clear direction with how the situation will end up for all the parties involved. Williams is still not willing to practice with the team as he is still exasperated with how the team handled his medical situation.

The team is in total shambles as it tries to make sense of their 1-7 season. They're definitely headed to the draft, and their inability to deal the disgruntled lineman has done nothing but add fractures to their professional relationship.

NBC Sports' JP Finlay detailed everything Williams did to get out of the Redskins after the medical scare:

From there, reports came during training camp that Williams’ relationship with Redskins team president had “fractured.” A Redskins spokesperson said that the report was “100 percent false” but as time went on, it became very clear Williams wasn’t returning for the start of the season.

Then it was revealed the Redskins intended to fine Williams the maximum amount allowable for missing practices and mandatory team events. That didn’t budge the big man either.

Allen fired Jay Gruden after an 0-5 start, and at that point the Redskins boss again said the team wasn’t interested in trading Williams. Then, a report came out that Williams might return at some point this year but might not play, a tricky maneuver that would significantly hurt his trade value.

Now that the trade deadline has passed, no one has any clue what will happen. However, everyone is sure that it will leave many a Washington fan frustrated and disappointed.
