The NBA world was stunned when Orlando Magic head coach Scott Skiles seemingly announced his resignation out of nowhere. A number of reports stated that he clashed with management over the usage of young players.

Things move quickly in the association, so the Magic are already in full pursuit of their new head man, and a number of candidates have been leaked.

According to Ken Burger of CBS Sports, former Suns coach Jeff Hornacek and Frank Vogel, recently let go by the Pacers, are on the Magic's list of possible coaches to take the job that Skiles left vacant.

Hornacek had some immediate success with the Suns before falling out of favor with the front office over the course of two and a half years. His overall record in Phoenix was 101-112.

Vogel led Indiana to the playoffs in five of the last six seasons, compiling a record of 250-181. In the end, team president Larry Bird decided to not give him a new contract with the Pacers failing to truly become elite.

Other possible candidates mentioned were Spurs assistant James Borrego, Hornets assistant Patrick Ewing (used to work for Orlando), and Magic assistant Adrian Griffin
