The Toronto Raptors and Indiana Pacers have agreed on a trade swapping Cory Joseph for C.J. Miles, according to a report by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

With the deal now agreed to in principle, Miles will sign a 3-year, $25 million deal with a player option for Toronto.

Miles has been looking to move on from Indiana ever since the news of Paul George's departure came about. He was linked to many teams, most notably the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Raptors traded DeMarre Carroll yesterday to the Brooklyn Nets in a move essentially to free up cap space. Once that goes through, the deal for Miles can become official.

Miles averaged 10.7 points and 3.0 rebounds while shooting 41.3 percent from beyond the 3-point line last season in 76 games for the Pacers. He's made a name for himself as a solid wing with a nice stroke from three.

Carroll was seen as the perfect prototypical 3-and-D player when Toronto acquired him a few years ago. The Raptors will now look for Miles to fit into that role a little better for them.

Indiana is of course in a full-on rebuild mode now with George gone. Joseph is still just 25-years-old and coming off his best season as a pro in which he averaged 9.3 points and 3.3 assists a night in 25.0 minutes per game last season with the Raptors. He may have a chance to step into a more prominent role now in Indiana.
