Respawn Entertainment, the Electronic Arts-owned development studio, seems to be working on a new single-player game. This became apparent when Respawn started posting hiring notices for multiple positions.

Rumors abound as Respawn Entertainment posted multiple hiring notices for a new single-player game they're working on. The game development studio put up hiring notices for Lead Technical Game Designer, Senior Technical Game Designer, Senior Combat Designer, and Senior Level Designer. The hiring posts' URL indicate that the the new-hires will be part of an ‘incubation team.' This might mean that these new-hires will have a complete reign over their new project.

Respawn's hiring post says as much, too. “This new singleplayer title is a designer’s dream playground with a freedom to innovate made possible by the unique universe it inhabits,” the post says. “Our critically acclaimed, multi-platform games have always established a “fun comes first” sensibility in a design process that allows creativity and new ideas to shine.”

We don't have any clues yet as to what IP this new game will be part of. Respawn has the rights for Apex LegendsTitanfall, and also made the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order game. Whether or not the job listings will be about a new IP single-player game or a single-player game for their other IPs, we don't know yet. But given Respawn's reputation, we're thrilled to learn more about what will come out of these job hirings.
