Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals series between the Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs turned out to be a one-sided affair. The visiting team led by as many as 39 points, and sent a strong message to their state rivals with a convincing victory.
Behind the stellar performances of James Harden, Trevor Ariza, and Clint Capela, the Rockets blew out their opponents 126-99, to take a 1-0 lead in the series. They also made franchise history on the night by knocking down 22 three-point field goals, en route to the Spurs' worst home playoff loss ever.

It is also worth noting that their 50 attempts from beyond the arc was the most taken against the Spurs in their long postseason history. Nine different players scored on a three-point field goal, with Ariza leading the charge with five made from that distance.
With only a day off before the start of Game 2, the Spurs will have limited time to make the necessary adjustments, especially on the defensive end, to try and slow down their opponent's high-octane offense. However, with Gregg Popovich‘s experience, it will be hard to count San Antonio out.
