Over the weekend, Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey answered questions from the public on Reddit about a broad range of topics. One interesting question was focused on former Rockets legendary Hall of Fame center Yao Ming.

Yao, who played in Houston for nine seasons, said something hilarious during one Rockets training camp that Morey will simply never forget.

“When Yao Ming was in the drug testing line during training camp he asked all his teammates, ‘Why am I the only one not nervous?’” Morey said.

That is absolutely priceless and quite a hilarious Yao story from Morey, to say the least. Morey has been the general manager of the Rockets since 2007, but Yao's comments would obviously stand out.

Selected as the No. 1 pick in the 2002 NBA Draft, Yao was an eight-time All-Star and is easily one of the best international players we have gotten to ever see step foot on an NBA court.

Unfortunately for Yao, his later years in the league were constantly plagued by injuries that eventually forced him to retire from basketball in the summer of 2011 at just 30 years old.

In 486 career games with the Rockets, Yao averaged 19.0 points on 52.4 percent shooting from the field, 9.2 rebounds, 1.9 blocked shots, and 1.6 assists per game in roughly 32.5 minutes of action per contest.
