Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey couldn't help himself but troll the Golden State Warriors after they were taken down by the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night.

The loss, combined with the Rockets' 10th straight win after dispatching the Sacramento Kings, brought them a half game over the defending champions for the top seed in the Western Conference heading into the All-Star break.

Morey hasn't been short of his share of petty wars in the past, but this one is taking trollery to the next level.

The architect of the Rockets heavy 3-point artillery has been years into mastering his craft, after every effort to put a three-and-D team together went fruitless in the playoffs, failing to get into the Western Conference Finals since a 4-1 boot during the 2015-16 season.

Morey openly admitted that bringing in Chris Paul was part of the blueprint he had laid forward in hopes to take apart this Warriors team, and rightfully celebrated as a potential game-winner by Kevin Durant was disallowed as the clock expired during this 2017-18 season-opener.

In similar fashion, Durant was ruled out of bounds on a corner 3-pointer that would have brought the game within one point, causing all the reason for the GM's celebration.

The Rockets are 2-1 against the Warriors this season and could have the tiebreaker shall things get close by mid-April. Morey has openly admitted he's been “obsessed” with dethroning the Warriors ever since the 4-1 dismantling in the Western Conference Finals, and this Blazers win just puts his team a hair ahead, as the Rockets head into the All-Star break with heavy momentum.
