The Houston Rockets haven't had much success this season, but that was to be expected given that they are still a young club with very few pieces who can truly assist contribute for them.

Outside of them dealing Eric Gordon, the Rockets haven't been connected to many moves as the trade deadline approaches. Gordon is a 33-year-old experienced point guard who has had a lot of success in his career, which is something that many contending teams will be searching for at the deadline this year.

Unfortunately for the Rockets, Action Network has reported that they are presently unable to find a suitable trade partner for Gordon owing to other clubs returning players with high contracts to Houston.

“The Houston Rockets have told teams they have two different offers of a first-round pick for Eric Gordon. The issue is finding a team that won’t send back significant salary as Houston doesn’t want anything major on the books. Houston is also looking for a pick in the teens instead of a late first-rounder for Gordon.”

It's understandable that Houston would not want to return a large contract. If they have a large contract on their books, it will only affect their team even more because they will be unable to make any moves during the off-season this year. If they can get Gordon dealt for a first-round pick and maybe a couple of young players, that's pretty much all this team could ask for.
