Houston Rockets forward Gerald Green has been fined $25,000 by the league office for shoving Minnesota Timberwolves forward Gorgui Dieng during Sunday's game, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports.

Green took matters into his own hands, as Dieng had pushed point guard Chris Paul out of bounds following a physical play where Paul unsuccessfully went for a steal, angering Dieng, who retaliated in frustration.

Dieng was assessed a technical foul for his actions, while Green was ejected from the game. Paul later promised to cover Green's tab for his troubles.

Besides the $25,000 fine, Green will also have to pay an extra pair of $2,000 fines for the technical foul and ejection from this game, adding to a whopping $29,000 total for defending his All-Star point guard.
