James Harden gets hilarious advice from Vernon Maxwell to thank Houston dancers after Rockets trade
Rockets great Vernon Maxwell also had something to say on the matter.
Maxwell suggested Harden should take out a full-page advertisement in Houston newspapers to thank the dancers in the Houston community.
If I’m the beard I’m taking a page out in the Houston Observer thanking all the dancers in town for the past 8 years.

Harden’s off-court partying has been pretty well documented in recent years. He has not exactly attempted to hide it, either.
“The Beard” missed the early part of Rockets training camp because he was partying in Las Vegas and Atlanta with rapper and songwriter Lil Baby, among others. Harden eventually did report to camp but eventually forced his out of town. He will prepare for a new chapter in Brooklyn after being traded to the Nets.
There will be ample questions as to how Brooklyn’s new “Big 3” of Harden, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving will work together on the floor after The Beard had his own superstar issues with the Rockets.
Durant has experience playing with multiple superstars, dating back to his days with the Golden State Warriors. But Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson were tremendous offensive players off the ball. Both Irving and Harden need the ball in their hands to be effective.
That does not even account for the question marks with respect to Brooklyn’s new backcourt. Both Harden and Irving are below-average defenders, though they have the good fortune of having rim protectors like Durant and DeAndre Jordan ready to help inside. Regardless, the Nets will certainly be fun to watch.
Whether Harden’s off-court tendencies follow him to Brooklyn or not is another question, but Maxwell advises he say one more “Thank You” before packing his bags and leaving the Rockets.
