While plenty of teams will look to improve their rosters this offseason, Houston Rockets forward PJ Tucker remains confident about his team and even claims that they have the best roster in the NBA today.

Free agency is less than a week away, and Tucker said he expects that there will be fireworks when teams start recruiting and talking to players. However, while the Rockets are expected to be big players in the free agent market, the veteran swingman said that doesn't mean their team is lacking.

“There’s going to be a ton of fireworks,” Tucker told Sam Amick of The Athletic. “All this stuff is going to happen. Right now, line it up – we’ve got the best roster in the NBA right now. Period – that’s ready to play on October whatever the day is.”

The Rockets still have an intact core with Chris Paul, James Harden, Clint Capela and Tucker. Eric Gordon has a year left in his current deal with the Rockets as well, making their roster as deadly as it has ever been.

It remains to be seen, though, if one of their key players will eventually be traded. Capela has been mentioned in numerous trade rumors as of late. Houston is also reportedly looking for a sign-and-trade for Jimmy Butler, which could shakeup the team's core.
