During Saturday's win against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Houston Rockets star Harden achieved another milestone, as he reached 20,000 career points. He became the 45th player in NBA history to accomplish it.

Russell Westbrook reacted to the accomplishment, admitting it was a blessing to see history go down like that, especially since Harden is a friend.

Harden didn't have much to say when he surpassed 20,000 points in his career.

“It’s a great accomplishment obviously,” the Rockets guard said. “I have a bigger picture and bigger goals but it’s pretty cool.”

He finished the night off with a game-high 32 points to go along with 12 rebounds and eight assists.

Harden became the fifth active player in the league to reach 20,000 points, joining Kevin Durant, Vince Carter, Lebron James, and Carmelo Anthony. The Rockets talent also became the seventh youngest player to ever accomplish it.

Moreover, Harden is arguably having the best season of his career, averaging an astonishing 37.7 points per game. If Harden continues this spectacular scoring, he will have the highest single-season scoring average since Wilt Chamberlain. He's currently on pace to win his third consecutive scoring title this year. The last player to win three consecutive scoring titles was Kevin Durant from 2009-2012.

On the other hand, Westbrook is also on pace to reach 20,000 career points this season. Westbrook currently has 19,670 career points and could most certainly achieve it this season. He's currently averaging 24.6 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 7.0 assist. It would be neat for two Rockets players to achieve the same feat in the same season.

The Houston Rockets are currently in a four-way tie for the second seed of the Western Conference. There is plenty of NBA season left for them to move up the standing. They're seeking to extend their win streak on Tuesday evening against the Memphis Grizzlies.
