The NBA Draft is coming quickly and teams are starting to zero in on their choices, especially those with top-five picks. With Cade Cunningham all but set to go first overall to the Detroit Pistons, the Houston Rockets are the most interesting team picking after them. They could take a number of players, and have previously been linked to Evan Mobley, Jalen Green, and Jalen Suggs.

According to Zach Harper of The Athletic, there is some internal conflict within the organization as they decide between both of the Jalens.

“League sources have said Houston is heavily leaning toward Jalen Green there, but there are people within the Rockets’ decision-making process pushing for Jalen Suggs out of Gonzaga.”

Both players have legitimate cases, as does USC Trojans big man Evan Mobley. However, the Rockets need a play-maker and both Suggs and Green can do that at a high level.

Harper elaborated a little bit more on the internal conflicts between Jalen Suggs and Jalen Green.

“Green’s potential as a star wing in this league has the Rockets’ focus, but the idea of Suggs grabbing the momentum at some point exists. Scouts and executives love his size at the point guard position, and believe he can be the leader of a young, rebuilding team.”

The NBA Draft is July 29 and there should be tons of rumors and activity– with some trades potentially– before that time. As far as the Rockets are concerned, assuming they don't trade up to the top spot to snag Cunningham, it all but looks as if they go with Suggs or Green, causing Mobley to go to number three or even number four.
