The Colorado Rockies (24-33) take on the Arizona Diamondbacks (33-23) Thursday afternoon! The Diamondbacks are going for the four game sweep as we continue our MLB odds series with a Rockies-Diamondbacks prediction, pick, and how to watch.

The Rockies have been held to just six runs in this series and have scored only 23 in six games against the Rockies. On the season against Arizona, Ezequiel Tovar has nine hits and Ryan McMahon has eight hits. Tover has four doubles and a triple while McMahon has two doubles, a triple and a home run. On the mound, the Rockies have been bad against the Diamondbacks. They have a 7.24 ERA with just 33 strikeouts in 51 innings.

The Diamondbacks have won five of six games on the season against the Rockies. At the plate, the Diamondbacks are batting .293 with 10 home runs in six games. Evan Longoria, Ketel Marte, and Christian Walker have two home runs each. Emmanuel Rivera has eight hits in five games against the rockies with three doubles. On the mound, Arizona has gotten three quality starts from their startes. Arizona has a 3.91 ERA in six games against Colorado with 48 strikeouts in 53 innings pitched. They have only allowed three home runs in all the games against the Rockies, so the Diamondbacks are doing a good job limiting damage.

Connor Seabold and Zach Davies will be the starting pitchers in this game.

Why The Rockies Could Cover The Spread

Colorado needs to get their offense going in this game. They have scored just one run in the last two games, but there is a good matchup Thursday afternoon. Davies has allowed 14 hits and walked eight in 12 2/3 innings pitched. He has an xBA of .295 and xSLG of .464. The Rockies are actually in the top-10 in batting average this season, so they should be able to hit the ball around in this game. McMahon and Tovar will have to carry the team, but Kris Bryant and Elias Diaz need to get hot, as well.

Why The Diamondbacks Could Cover The Spread

Arizona hits the ball well against the Rockies, but also all season. They are sixth in batting average, slugging, and almost 40 percent of their hits have gone for extra bases. Seabold is not the best pitcher as he has given up 45 hits in 36 1/3 innings pitched. In those innings, Seabold has allowed seven home runs. The Diamondbacks should be able to hit the ball around in this game and produce some runs. Arizona has been hitting for some power recently, as well. With their ability to drive the ball to the gaps and over the fence, Arizona should have no problem completing the sweep.

Final Rockies-Diamondbacks Prediction & Pick

The Rockies are 3-9 in games Seabold has pitched. Davies is not the greatest pitcher either, so expect some runs in this game. The over is a play I feel comfortable with, despite the Rockies recent struggles at the plate. However, the Diamondbacks should be able to complete the sweep and cover the spread.

Final Rockies-Diamondbacks Prediction & Pick: Diamondbacks -1.5 (+108), Over 9.5 (-118)
