The Colorado Rockies will ride some momentum as they begin a three-game series with the San Francisco Giants on Friday at Oracle Park. We're here to share our MLB odds series, make a Rockies-Giants prediction, and pick while showing you how to watch.

The Rockies swept the San Diego Padres in their most recent series. Amazingly, they have won seven straight games. This came after they started the month on a 1-6 mark. Overall, they are 15-28 this season.

The Giants lost two of three games to the Los Angeles Dodgers at Oracle. Thus, they are now 3-3 on this homestand. San Francisco has gone 6-9 in May. Now, the Giants look to finish strong on this homestand.

The Giants went 9-4 against the Rockies in 2023. Furthermore, they are 15-5 over the past 20 games against the Rockies. They will look to keep that success with a mix of good hitting and pitching. Meanwhile, the Rockies look to keep their winning streak alive.

Ryan Feltner starts for the Rockies. He is 1-3 with a 5.20 ERA. Recently, he tossed six innings while allowing two earned runs on five hits while striking out four in a no-decision against the Texas Rangers.

Kyle Harrison starts for the Giants. He is 3-1 with a 3.42 ERA. Significantly, he went five innings while allowing three earned runs on three hits while striking out five and walking five in a no-decision against the Cincinnati Reds.

Why The Rockies Will Cover The Spread/Win

The Rockies have some issues on offense. Yes, they are ninth in batting average. But the Rockies are also 19th in on-base percentage and 20th in runs. Additionally, they are 22nd in home runs and slugging percentage. Their few offensive weapons must find a way to contribute.

Charlie Blackmon is hitting .237 with one home run, 18 RBIs, and 17 runs this season. Also, he is batting .280 with 20 home runs, 92 RBIs, and 109 runs over 181 games against the Giants. Ezequiel Tovar is hitting .275 with five home runs, 17 RBIs, and 18 runs. Yet, he is batting just .250 with one home run, 11 RBIs, and eight runs over 15 games against the Giants.

Ryan McMahon is doing well this season, hitting .304 with six home runs, 22 RBIs, and 19 runs. However, he has struggled against the Giants, batting just .125 with one run over his past five games against San Francisco. Brenton Doyle looks to contribute. So far, he is batting .282 with five home runs, 13 RBIs, and 28 runs.

The Rockies continue to struggle at making good pitches. Overall, their pitching staff is the worst in baseball. Their bullpen is also bad, ranking 21st in team ERA.

The Rockies will cover the spread if they can force Harrison into long pitch counts. Then, they need Feltner to have a quality start.

Why The Giants Will Cover The Spread/Win

The Giants continue to struggle to hit baseball. So far, they are 16th in batting average and 20th in on-base percentage. They are also 22nd in home runs, runs, and slugging percentage. Therefore, they hope their best players can adjust, and the offense can score some runs.

Thairo Estrada is hitting .239 with six home runs, 21 RBIs, and 18 runs this season. Now, he is hoping to keep thriving against the Rockies, as he is hitting .362 with six home runs, 25 RBIs, and 25 runs against them through 31 games. Matt Chapman is struggling with his new team, hitting .206 with five home runs, 19 RBIs, and 22 runs this season. Despite his struggles, he has done well against the Rockies, batting .306 with two home runs, four RBIs, and six runs over 10 games in his career.

Lamonte Wade Jr. is batting .314 with two home runs, 14 RBIs, and 16 runs. Furthermore, he is hitting .269 with two home runs, 18 RBIs, and 21 runs over 36 games against the Rockies. Wilmer Flores is struggling, hitting .207 with one home run, 13 RBIs, and nine runs. Now, he hopes to finally turn things around against a team that is on fire right now.

The Giants also cannot pitch effectively. So far, they are just 26th in team ERA. Their relievers have not been much better, either. Overall, their bullpen is 27th in bullpen ERA.

The Giants will cover the spread if their offense can awaken and take advantage of Colorado's pitching woes. Then, they need Harrison to dominate this lineup.

Final Rockies-Giants Prediction & Pick

The Rockies are on fire right now. However, they are still one of the worst teams in baseball. While the Giants are not much better, they still have done better in other aspects. Furthermore, the Giants have dominated the Rockies over the past 20 games. Expect the dominance to continue as the Giants find a way to get some runs across the plate. Subsequently, the winning streak will end, and the Giants will rout the Rockies to cover the spread at home.
