A day after suffering an extremely disappointing loss in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals against the Golden State WarriorsSan Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich was understandably quite peeved about Zaza Pachulia‘s role in Kawhi Leonard reinjuring his left ankle.

It didn't take long for the video of this epic rant from Popovich to circulate around the league via social media as Oklahoma City Thunder star guard Russell Westbrook subtly agreed with the Spurs' head coach by liking the clip on Instagram.

Russell Westbrook Gregg Popovich

Westbrook had his own run in with Pachulia during this past regular season in January as he was laid out by a hard screen set by the Warriors center and stood over the All-Star guard for a few seconds as he lay on the court. Pachulia had stated then that his actions were in retaliation to Westbrook throwing an elbow above his shoulder on the previous possession in the game.

That said, it's quite clear that Westbrook isn't quite over what transpired with Pachulia months earlier. It also doesn't appear that Popovich is either as he called for the league to further examine the play while also bringing to attention the veteran's recent history against the Spurs.

When he was a member of the Dallas Mavericks last season, he took down Leonard by dragging his arm and got chippy with both David West and Patty Mills during a regular season game as well.

In short, there is obviously much to be said about the play that now has Leonard out for at least Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals. It's a potentially series shifting injury that could see the Spurs' championship chances go down the drain.
