The New Orleans Saints were able to come away with a huge victory on Sunday as they took down the New York Jets, 30-9. The Saints got contributions from everybody on the field including star running back Alvin Kamara who finished with 27 carries for 120 yards and one touchdown.
Kamara has been sidelined for most of the season for the Saints due to an injury but was able to have a bounce-back performance against a tough Jets' defense. After the game, Kamara shared his excitement to be back with his Saints team,
“I get an itch when I'm watching them and I can't do anything to affect the game… Coming out here and being able to play a part in getting a victory, it means everything.”
New Orleans has not been great this year but that could be contributed to not having their star running back and also having quarterback questions for almost the entire season. They have shown that they still have a lot of talent on their roster as they are only one game behind .500 despite dealing with injuries and questions throughout the season.
Having Kamara back is going to open up a different side of the offense for this Saints team and it will make them a better football team. They're going to need to click on all cylinders next Sunday as they are taking on the defending world champions, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, in a tough matchup.
