Drew Brees reacts to New Orleans Saints signing Dez Bryant
Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints have been one of the best teams in the NFL all season long and are coming off of a huge victory over the previously undefeated Los Angeles Rams last week. Even though the Saints were one of the top teams in the league, they still wanted to add more talent. That led to the signing of wide receiver Dez Bryant.
Not only is the move a big one that created buzz around the league, it is also one that could take the Saints’ offense to an even higher level.
Following the team’s decision to sign Bryant, Brees reacted to having another weapon to work with. Jon Machota of Dallas News shared Brees’ reaction and quote about his new receiver.
Drew Brees on Dez Bryant: "There is certainly a skill set he has that's going to be beneficial. I look forward to getting to work with him. I look forward to building a rapport with him. I look forward to getting him involved in this offense…I think he'll be a great addition."

Brees has been one of the league’s best quarterbacks for years, which is exactly what Bryant was wanting. He is hoping to get his career back on track and playing with Brees could very well do just that for him.
Last season with the Dallas Cowboys, Bryant caught 69 passes for 838 yards and six touchdowns.
While those numbers may not put him in the “superstar” category, he is still more than capable of making a difference. Even though fans and media members have called him “old” and “washed up,” Bryant is still capable of making big plays and taking pressure off of Saints’ star receiver Michael Thomas.
It will be interesting to see how quickly Bryant is able to make an impact. He may take a few weeks to get up to speed, but the Saints have to be excited to have him on board.
Expect to see the Brees to Bryant connection pay off in a big way this season. New Orleans obviously liked what they saw in his workout, which likely means that Bryant is in great shape and is ready to get on the field.
