The New Orleans Saints were able to secure one of the NFL's elite cornerbacks during the 2017 NFL Draft in Marshon Lattimore. Although he may not have been a top-10 pick, it seems he has no regrets about being the 11th overall pick.

Lattimore recently took to Twitter to express his thoughts on falling to the Saints during the draft.

It is safe to say that the feeling is certainly mutual for the Saints. Marshon Lattimore was able to make an immediate impact as a bonafide starter upon his arrival and has now established himself as a household name with two Pro Bowl selections under his belt.

More importantly, Lattimore has played an integral role in helping New Orleans re-establish themselves as legitimate playoff contenders. Although the Saints have endured their fair share of heartbreak in the postseason over the last three years, it beats landing in an unsavory situation where his skill set would be overlooked on a lesser team.

Lattimore's comments are indicative of the importance of going to the right team as opposed to trying to come off the board as early as possible. He is now part of an elite class that has produced some of the biggest superstars in the league such as Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, and Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey.

The Saints are doing what they can to replicate the same success this time around amid the new restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).
