The decision for the New Orleans Saints to sign Janoris Jenkins is already paying dividends in the postseason. On the first drive of the game, Jenkins forced an early fumble to give New Orleans a big turnover versus the Minnesota Vikings.

The New York Giants released Jenkins near the end of the regular season, thus giving him a chance to sign with a contender. Ultimately, the Saints saw an opportunity to bolster their secondary by adding Jenkins.

In his career, Jenkins has been known to be a ball-hawk since his days with the St. Louis Rams (now Los Angeles). Furthermore, the veteran cornerback has forced a total of 29 turnovers in the regular season.

The forced fumble versus the Vikings on Sunday is Jenkins' first turnover forced in the playoffs. Jenkins is starting in his second career playoff game on Sunday and is already making his presence felt for the Saints.
