Drew Brees had a terrific night. He led the New Orleans Saints to a win over the Indianapolis Colts. He has broken several records in the process, one of them belonging to Peyton Manning.

It should be no surprise that Peyton Manning was made aware that the Saints' pass-caller was on pace to beat his passing touchdown and passing yard records. The former quarterback-turned-TV-host set up a quick celebratory video to praise Brees' achievement.

The funny thing about the video? He was cutting tomatoes for some reason. The more hilarious one? He set this greeting up last year.

ESPN shared the hilarious but heart-warming clip that showcased the respect Brees had for his contemporary.

He started the video, jokingly having a grudge on Brees taking over his records. However, it didn't take long before he dropped the act and immediately gave his sincere congratulations.

“Drew, congratulations on this record,” the former Colt and Denver Bronco said. “You've done it the right way. All your hard work and dedication have paid off
Way to go, proud of you. Good luck the rest of the way.”

Brees knew ahead of the season that he will be able to beat his record, but the man kept his focus on winning as much games as he could for the Saints.

“Obviously, before the season you know you are a certain distance away, but then once the season starts, you just focus on winning games and doing what I need to do as a quarterback of this team to put us in the best position to succeed,” Brees said, per Brett Martel for WWL TV. “With that, I guess the statistics come, and maybe they add up, and then all of a sudden, you're close enough to be within striking distance of some of those things.”

The Saints eventually won, 34-7. Brees finished with a solid stat line of 307 yards and four touchdowns.
