Al Hilal superstar Neymar has drawn a comparison between Ligue 1 and Saudi Pro League. The Brazilian winger left Paris Saint Germain (PSG) after six years to join Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal in this summer window.

Neymar is currently on international duty as he seeks to make history with Brazil. The 31-year-old needs to score one more goal to overtake Pele as the country's greatest-ever goalscorer. It remains to be seen how many minutes the Saudi Pro League superstar gets as the South American giants play Bolivia in the World Cup qualifier on Friday.

Speaking to the pre-match press conference, Neymar said, “I feel well, happy, but obviously, I am not 100 percent fit. But my head is well, my body is well,”

“I was going to play the latest match (of Al Hilal), but I was hit during training, and the coach chose to leave me out so I could come to Brazil.”

Neymar's last international game came in the FIFA World Cup quarter-final, where Brazil lost to Croatia. He is yet to feature in the Saudi Pro League, as he was denied minutes against Al Ittihad last week.

The Brazilian superstar was heavily criticized for choosing to join the Saudi Pro League at only the age of 31. He drew a comparison between the Saudi Pro League and Ligue 1 in a funny interaction. He said, “I assure you that soccer there (in Saudi Arabia) is the same. The ball is round, there’s a goal, and if you look at the names that have gone to the Saudi league… I don’t know whether it is better than the French league or not.”

“I want to win titles for Al Hilal, and my head won’t change much. Everyone said the same when I went to France (about competitiveness), and it was the place I was hit the most in my life,”

“I am sure that it won’t be easy to win the Saudi Pro League. Other teams got stronger and have famous players. It will be very interesting, and I am sure you will be watching.”
