The Seattle Seahawks are set to take the field on Thursday night in a huge divisional matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.

However, there has remained much uncertainty around the availability of Pro-Bowl safety Earl Thomas, who has been dealing with a nagging hamstring injury. According to Omar Ruiz of NFL Network, Thomas has been deemed a game-time decision for the contest.

The 28-year-old missed Sunday's disappointing 17-14 loss to the Washington Redskins due to the injury. He originally suffered the ailment late in the fourth quarter in the 41-38 win over the Houston Texans in Week 8.

Dealing with injuries is nothing new for Thomas, who has missed time on the field over the last couple of seasons. He saw his 2016 campaign come to an abrupt end after 11 games following a broken tibia in Week 13 after colliding with teammate Kam Chancellor.

Thomas has played a major role on the Seahawks' vaunted secondary that has been the foundation of one of the league's top defensive units over the last several seasons. During that time, he has earned five Pro Bowl selections, four First-Team All-Pro nods, one Second-Team All-Pro selection, and helped his team win Super Bowl XLVIII.

Given his importance to the team, the Seahawks will likely take the precautionary route in order to prevent the issue from lingering on any further this season.
