Everyone knows Russell Wilson is the key to the Seattle Seahawks success and ESPN national NFL writer Kevin Seifert thinks he will have such an impressive season he will be named league MVP once the 2019 season is over. ESPN compiled all their national writers and had them predict which players will win different awards and Seifert picked Wilson.

Wilson thinks that losing Doug Baldwin will hurt a little bit, but he expects DK Metcalf will be able to step up and have a big year.

Russell Wilson, QB, Seattle Seahawks. I'm sticking with Wilson even after the release of receiver Doug Baldwin, which puts more pressure on rookie DK Metcalf and others to produce right away. Wilson demonstrated last season how much better the Seahawks are when the passing game is the focus of their offense. If coach Pete Carroll shifts his run-pass ratio just a bit, Wilson will dominate in 2019.

Pete Carroll has always tried to run an offense that has focused on rushing the ball, but Wilson showed last year that when it's a pass-first offense the Seahawks are really hard to beat. Hopefully Carroll recognizes that and Wilson will be able to pass the ball more than he has before.

Last year Wilson completed 65.6 percent of his passes for 3,448 yards, 35 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. If Wilson can have another big year and the Seahawks can win a lot of games he does have a great chance to win the MVP.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was the most popular pick of the poll with three guys picking him to win the MVP.
