Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is nearing his return, and if his latest post is any indication, the rest of the NFL should be scared.

Wilson has been sidelined after their Week 5 loss to the Los Angeles Rams after badly injuring his middle finger in his throwing hand. He had to undergo surgery to repair the issue, keeping him out of commission from Week 6 to their latest Week 8 outing.

However, in a positive development for the Seahawks, Wilson confirmed that he has the pin removed from his finger before saying that he is ready to go back and help the team win.

It remains to be seen how Russell Wilson's condition will be when he returns to practice with the Seahawks, but with the team having a bye, it bodes well for his potential return in Week 10 when they play the Green Bay Packers.

For what it's worth, head coach Pete Carroll hinted that Wilson could really make his return against the Packers, but they need to make sure first it'll be safe and there is no risk of him reinjuring his finger.

“He's got to get all the contraptions out of his finger first, and then he's got to heal from that extraction, from the pin and all that, and then see where it is and what he is capable of doing,” Carroll said before Wilson confirmed he got the pin out, per Seahawks.com.

“He's going to be really close. Your hand adapts, and he doesn't need all of what it was for him to be effective. I know that because I've got a funky hand myself on my throwing hand. He'll be able to adapt. We just need to see if it's safe for him to do that and in the long-term basis, is it the right thing to do? We'll just figure it out.”

The Seahawks are 3-5 on the season after losing two of their last three games without their veteran quarterback. With Wilson possibly returning, though, things should improve. Hopefully, it is enough to turn their season around and compete for the postseason.
