Veteran quarterback Russell Wilson and the surging Seattle Seahawks are off to a perfect 2-0 start to the 2020 regular season. As a result, Wilson has since moved into the top spot as the new favorite to ultimately come away with the 2020 NFL MVP award—according to at least one infamous Las Vegas-based sportsbook, anyway (per ESPN's David Purdum).

As it stands today, Wilson owns +320 odds at William Hill sportsbook to become the league's latest MVP after originally beginning the year with 10-1 odds. For perspective, if a bettor were to place a $100 bet on Wilson to win such an award, that bettor would earn $320.

Wilson entered the regular season behind two players in Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson in terms of the 2020 NFL MVP odds. Of course, Mahomes was the league MVP two seasons ago while following up such a performance with a Super Bowl title and Super Bowl MVP.

On the other hand, Jackson won the league's MVP distinction just last season. Mahomes is now +450 with Jackson at +500, according to the aforementioned William Hill sportsbook, which rank second and third behind Wilson, respectively.

Both the Chiefs and Ravens are also a perfect 2-0 on the season with the two AFC powerhouses actually slated to battle it out on “Monday Night Football” in Week 3.

It is also worth noting that while both Mahomes and Jackson have already won one MVP award apiece, Wilson has never even received a vote to earn such an honor despite serving as a top signal-caller for years in addition to winning a Super Bowl with the Seahawks and a pair of NFC championships along the way.
