With Jimmy Graham heading off to the Green Bay Packers, the Seattle Seahawks are on the lookout for another tight end. It sounds like there could be at least one that is quite interested in moving to the Pacific Northwest– Austin Seferian-Jenkins.

It is worth noting that for now, the interest is coming from Sefefian-Jenkins and not the Seahawks. Gregg Bell of the Tacoma News Tribune has reported that Jenkins is ‘extremely interested' in playing for his hometown team. The Seahawks haven’t expressed any interest yet, at least that's been reported.

Seferian-Jenkins certainly has the kind of size NFL coaches love in their tight ends (6’ 5 ½” and 262 lbs.). It doesn’t hurt his chances that he’s from the area and played his college football at Washington. But, his lack of production for most of his career could make the Seahawks hesitate.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted him in the second round back in 2014. He ended up only playing in nine games, catching just 21 balls for 221 yards and two touchdowns. Things didn’t really get any better for him in 2015 (seven games, 21 receptions, 338 yards, four touchdowns).

He only lasted a couple of games with the Buccaneers in 2016. The team let him go after he was arrested for drunk driving. The Jets picked him up off waivers, and while he didn't do much that year, he played in 13 games in 2017, making 50 receptions for 357 yards and three touchdowns.

If Seattle doesn't express interest soon, they may lose out on him. Pro Football Talk’s Darin Gantt has reported that the Bears, Jaguars, and Colts are all eyeing Seferian-Jenkins, and NFL.com's Mike Garofolo reported the New Orleans Saints are as well.
