Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is coming off a nice season in his ninth season, but he only signed a one-year contract and could very well be with another team for 2019. Despite the uncertainty for Suh's future, he is coming off of his best season in terms of team success. Although the Rams lost to the New England Patriots this past Sunday, playing in a game of this magnitude is something a lot of players only dream of achieving.

One team that could explore Suh as an option to bolster their defense are the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys are coming off a successful season themselves and lost to the Rams in the second round of the playoffs this season. The Cowboys finally seem to be on the right track in terms of finding their identity on defense as well.

Dallas should do everything they can to retain Demarcus Lawrence now that he has proven himself as one of the league's best pass rushers. The young linebacker duo of Leighton Vander Esch and Jaylon Smith is perhaps the league's most promising corps in the league. The secondary has some bright stars as well with Byron Jones, Chidobe Awuzie, and Xavier Woods providing a lot of promise for the Cowboys.

The thought of Suh and Lawrence in the trenches for the Cowboys should terrify opposing quarterbacks and it is a strong possibility the duo could become a reality. Suh will likely demand a contract to something similar in which he signed with the Rams. Suh signed a one-year contract worth $14 million in 2018.

If Suh signs with the Cowboys, Demarcus Lawrence can see his numbers climb substantially as Aaron Donald's did. Seeing as it's impossible to double team any player effectively with a presence like Suh on the field, Lawrence could be on his way to a Defensive Player of the Year award in 2019.
