Philadelphia 76ers guard Josh Richardson will play against the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday.

Richardson has missed the previous six games because of a hamstring issue:

The Sixers are really struggling right now. They are 31-21 on the season, but currently on a four-game losing streak.

Richardson has appeared in 38 games for the Sixers this season. He's averaging 15.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists while shooting 43.6 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from beyond the arc and 81.8 percent from the free-throw line.

Before the season started, most pundits picked the Sixers to reach the East Finals. There’s still a lot of time left for Philly to get things together, but from what they have shown so far, it does not look like they will be able to make it deep into the postseason.

Both Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons do their damage in the paint. Embiid has no room to operate in the post playing next to Al Horford and Simmons because the Sixers don’t have enough guys on the perimeter who can stretch the floor and bring their defender outside of the paint.

How is Embiid supposed to dominate in the paint if he’s getting doubled team at every turn and there’s no space for him to operate? Simmons has no resemblance of a jump shot, while Tobias Harris, Horford and Richardson aren’t consistent enough shooters to warrant Stephen Curry-like defense on the perimeter.

The Boston CelticsMiami Heat and Toronto Raptors are all better than Philly. Not to mention the Milwaukee Bucks, who appear like they are going to cruise through the East playoffs.

The Sixers acquired Alec Burks and Glen Robinson III from the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday. We’ll see if those moves are enough to help Philly get on track.
