The Philadelphia 76ers will continue to bring Al Horford off the bench moving forward. Horford came off the Sixers' bench against the Los Angeles Clippers in the final game before the All-Star break.

It was the first time since his rookie season that Horford didn’t start:

“It's what the team needs right now, and that's what we're doing,” Horford said, via Philly Voice. “I didn't really give it much thought to be honest, I'm just refreshed being back and ready for the second half of the season…I'm playing similar to how I was playing before.”

When Horford signed with the Sixers this past summer, many pundits around the league knew his fit with stars Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons would be poor. While Philly is on its way to making the playoffs barring an incredible collapse, head coach Brett Brown and his staff have to figure out which lineups are the most effective come playoff time, especially in the fourth quarter when the game is in the balance.

Horford has played in 50 games for the Sixers this season. He's averaging 12.0 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists while shooting 44.0 percent from the field, 32.7 percent from beyond the arc and 73.2 percent from the free-throw line.

The Sixers are 34-21 on the season. They are in fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings and open the second half of the season on Thursday at home against the Brooklyn Nets.
